4.2.7 LAN
The R&S ZNLE is equipped with a network interface and can be connected to an
Ethernet LAN (local area network). The network card can be operated with a 1
GBit Ethernet IEEE 802.3u interface. Thus, a crossover cable is not necessary
(due to Auto-MDI(X) functionality).
The assignment of the RJ-45 connector supports twisted-pair category 5
UTP/STP cables in a star configuration (UTP stands for unshielded twisted pair,
and STP for shielded twisted pair).

4.2.8 USB
The rear panel provides two additional female USB (3.0 standard) connectors to
connect devices like a keyboard, a mouse or a memory stick (see also Chap-
ter 4.2.8, "USB", on page 37).
4.2.9 Device ID
The unique device identifier is provided as a barcode sticker on the rear panel of
the R&S ZNLE.
It consists of the device order number and a serial number.
