Troubleshooting Boot Problems
• Fault: R&S ZVB does not start the measurement application.
The first action the R&S ZVB performs after power-up is booting BIOS for the processor. When the
processor has been successfully initialised, the Windows XP start-up procedure begins. Then, the
m
easurement application is loaded as an autostart program.
If there are errors during the boot phase, messages indicate possible defects.
The message “No System Disk or Disk error…” indicates that the hard disk data is corrupt. If this is the
case, replace the hard disk.
If the operating system on the hard disk has been corrupted and so cannot be loaded correctly,
Windows XP outputs a “blue screen”.
This screen summarizes all the key information about the internal status of the processor.
