PLAVING THE E-28
Connect the AC adaptor to a wall
outlet and then press the POWER
button (4) as previously explained.
A number of LEDs will light and the
display will read ‘15’.
You can now start playing the E-28.
The sound you hear (Piano 1) is
automatically selected at power up.
With an optional footswitch
(DP-2/DP-6 type) connected to the
SUSTAIN FOOTSWITCH jack (2) on
the rear panel, you can sustain
(hold) the notes you play in the
Upper section of the keyboard.
(This works just like the damper
pedal on an acoustic piano).
This very brief description shows
you how to use the E-28 in the most
basic way. On the following pages
we'll show you how to take full
advantage of the instrument's great
sounds and functions.
SELECTING TONES
Vour E-28 contains a total of 223
Tones. These Tones are organized
according to the GBN (Group, Bank,
Number) method. Tones are divided
into 2 main Groups (A and b), with
each Group containing 8 Banks
(1-8) and each Bank containing 8
Numbers (1-8). There are also a
number of Variation Tones available.
The E-28 has also 8 Drum Sets that
can be selected from the panel.
‘A11’= Piano 1 is automatically
selected every time you turn on the
instrument. To confirm that is the
case on your instrument, press the
SELECT button (33) until the UP1
indicator lights. The display will
read ‘A11’,

Schließen Sie den Netzadapter wie

auf, während im Display die Zahl
‘15’ erscheint.

Instrument spielen.
Der Klang, den Sie auf dem Manual
spielen (Piano 1) wird beim
Einschalten des E-28 automatisch
angewähit.
Wenn Sie einen als Sonderzubehör
erhaltlichen FuBtaster (DP-2 oder
DP-6) an die SUSTAIN
FOOTSWITCH-Buchse (2) auf der
Rückseite anschliefen, kënnen Sie die
rechts gespielten Noten länger anhalten.
(Das funktioniert genau wie das
Haltepedal auf einem Klavier.)
Im Folgenden zeigen wir Ihnen kurz,
wie man den E-28 bedient. Weiter
unten gehen wir näher auf die ein-
zelnen Bedienfunktionen ein.
KLANGANWAHL
Ihr E-28 bietet 223 Klänge (Tones
genannt), die dem GBN-Prinzip
(Gruppe/Bank/Nummer) gemäß
unterteilt sind. Es gibt zwei Gruppen
(A und b) und jede Gruppe enthält 8
Bänke (1-8), die wiederum je acht
Klänge (1-8) beinhalten. Außerdem
sind mehrere Variationen vorhanden.
Darüber hinaus bietet der E-28 8
Drum Sets, die Sie ebenfalls
anwählen können.
Beim Einschalten des Instruments
wird jeweils der Klang 'ATI'— Piano
1 angewählt. Wenn Sie uns nicht
glauben, drücken Sie mehrmals den
SELECT-Taster (33), bis die UPI-LED
leuchtet. Im Display erscheint nun
"AUT.

COMMENT JOUER
Pour commencer à jouer, connectez
simplement l'adaptateur secteur et
pressez le commutateur Power (4)
comme expliqué précédemment.
L'afficheur indiquera le chiffre “15”
et quelques diodes s'allumeront.
Il est maintenant possible de
commencer à jouer.
Le son que vous entendez est le
son A11=Piano 1, qui est
automatiquement sélectionné
à la mise sous tension.
Avec la pédale commutateur
optionnelle (type DP-2/DP-6),
le maintien des sons des sections
UPPER 1 et UPPER 2 peut être
piloté au pied.
La prise pour cette pédale de Sustain
(SUSTAIN FOOTSWITCH 2) est
située en face arrière.
D'autres fonctions professionnelles
sont disponibles avec le E-28, voir les
détails ci-aprés. Nous allons maintenant
expliquer comment les utiliser.
COMMENT SÉLECTIONNER
ET ÉCOUTER UN DES
223 SONS (TONES)
Votre E-28 dispose des 223 sons
separés en 16 familles orchestrales
et organisés en deux groupes (A+b)
et en banques de 1 à 8.
Chaque famille (banque) est
composée de 8 sons indiqués de 1 à
8 et de différentes variations
(VARIATION) des sons de base qui
peuvent étre 8 au maximum.
Le E-28 dispose aussi de 8
DRUM SETS.
L'instrument choisit toujours le
son A11=Piano 1 de la section
UPPER 1 à la mise sous tension.
Pour voir ce son dans l'afficheur,
pressez un des boutons SELECT (33)
jusqu'à ce que la diode UP1
s'allume et que A11 apparaisse
dans l'afficheur.
