not

this
unit
on
the
same
power
circuit
with
any
device
that
will
generate
line
noise,
such
as
a
motor
or
variable
lighting
system.

Do
not
subject
the
unit
to
temperature
extremes
(eg.
direct
sunlight
in
an
enclosed
vehicle).
Avoid
using
or
storing
the
unit
in
dusty
or
humid
areas
or
areas
that
are
subject
to
high
vibration
levels.

This
unit
may
interfere
with
radio
and
television
recep-
tion.
Do
not
use
this
unit
in
the
vicinity
of
such
receivers.

Do
not
expose
this
unit
to
temperature
extremes
(eg.
direct
sunlight
in
an
enclosed
vehicle

deform

unit)

install
it

devices

[Maintenance]

For
everyday
cleaning
wipe
the
unit
with
a
soft,
dry
cloth
(or
one
that
has
been
slightly
dampened
with
water).
To
remove
stubborn
dirt,
use
a
mild
neutral
detergent.
Afterwards,
be
sure
to
wipe
the
unit
thoroughly
with
a
soft,
dry
cloth.

Never
use
benzene,
thinners,
alcohol
or
solvents
of
any
kind,
to
avoid
the
risk
of
discoloration
and/or
deforma-
tion.

the
Music

Be
careful
that
you
do
not
tilt
the
Music Stand
towards
you,
as
it
may
slip
off
of
its
stoppers.

Backup]

With
the
Backup
Mode
"On",
the
instrument
retains
the
last
settings
that
were
made
before
power
was
turned
off.
If
the
Backup
Mode
is
“Off”,
the
default
settings
will
be
loaded
the
next
time
the
unit
is
turned
on,
and
all
previous
settings
will
be
lost
(Refer
to
page
9
for
directions
on
how
to
turn
on
the
Backup
Mode.).
@
This
instrument
is
equipped
with
a
backup-use
battery
which
serves,
when
the
Backup
Mode
is
“on,”
in
main-
taining
the
contents
of
memory
while
power
is
turned
off.
This
battery
should,
as
a
rule,
be
changed
every
5
years.
(The
actual
lifetime
of
the
battery
may
vary
de-
pending
on
the
conditions
of
use.)
When
it
is
time
to
replace
the
battery,
check
with
your
nearest
Roland
Service
Station.
[Additional

closing

lid.
Special
arrangements

need
to
be
mode
for
children.
To
close
the
lid,
slowly
pull
it
completely
forward,
then
lower
it
gently.

allow

any
of
its
openings.

Protect
the
unit
from
strong
impact.

Do
not
allow
objects
or
liquids
of
any
kind
to
penet-
rate
the
unit.
In
the
event
of
such
an
occurrence,

continue
use
immediately.

service
personnel

soon
as
possible.
