NOTES
The
HP
3800G/2800G
uses
3.5-inch
2DD
or
2HD
flop-
py
disks
(sometimes
called
“microfloppies”).
They
are
used
to
store
the
song
you
record
on
the
HP
3800G/2800G.
*
Please
use
2HD
disks
whenever
possible.
This
is
because
the
data
access
speed
of
a
2DD
disk
is
some-
what
slower
than
that
of
a
2HD,
and
this
may
on
rare
occasions
cause
playback
errors.
And
song
selecton
or
song
position displays
may
be
delayed
slightly.
1.
Inserting
a
Disk
To
insert
a
disk,
push
it
firmly
(but
gently)
into
the
drive:
label
side
up
it
will
click
into
place.

Make
sure
the
disk
is
correctly
inserted
before
trying
to
use
it!
2.
Removing
a
Disk
To
remove
a
disk,
press
the
EJECT
button
firmly.

Handling
Floppy
Disks
*
Floppy
disks
contain
a
magnetic
storage
medium
(much
like
magnetic
recording
tape).
Please
observe
the
fol-
lowing
when
handling
floppy
disks:
Never
touch
the
magnetic
medium
inside
the
disk.
Do
not
subject
floppy
disks
to
temperature
extremes
(eg.,
direct
sunlight
in
an
enclosed
vehicle).
Recommended
temperature
range:
10
to
50°C,
Do
not
expose
floppy
disks
to
strong
magnetic
fields,
such
as
those
generated
by
loudspeakers.

Floppy
disks
contain
a
‘write
protect’
tab
which
can
protect
the
disk
from
accidental
erasure,

is
recom-
mended
that
the
tab
be
kept
in
the
‘PROTECT™
position
and
moved
to
the
‘WRITE’
position
only
when
you
wish

write
new
data
onto
the
disk.
