-10
This
parameter offsets the pitch
of the
Tone in units
of 1/lOOth
of a semitone.
Range: —50
+50
The pitch
is
shifted higher
than
normal
when the value
is
positive
(+),
and shifted lower
when
the value
is
negative
(
).
The
coarse/fine pitch
shift
parameters determine
the
basic pitch
or tuning
at
which
notes
will
sound. For
example,
when
the fine pitch
parameter
of two Tones
are set to
slightly different values,
a
rich,
"fat"
sound results.
It
is also possible
to create
special
effects like
"single
key" chords,
by setting the
coarse pitch parameter
of two
or more
Tones
to appropriate
values.

The pitch of the Tone
is shifted over
random
amounts within
the range set
below. The value
is
expressed in units of 1/lOOth
of a semitone.
Settings: 0/5/1 0/20/30/40/50/70/1
00/200/300/400/500/600/800/1
200
The greater the value, the
greater the
random pitch
shift range.
As this randomly detunes
the pitch for
each note played,
it is particularly
effective for
reproducing the sound
of fretless
string instruments
and percussion
instruments.
