Controlling
an
External
Sound
Module
using
a
Foot
Pedal
By
using
an
expression
pedal
connected
to
the
TX
PEDAL
or
INT+TX
PEDAL
jack
on
the
rear
of
the
RD-500,
you
can
transmit
messages
(such
as
Control
Changes)
to
an
external
MIDI
sound
module.
You
can
also
use
the
C1
slider
for
sending
messages
to
an
external
MIDI
sound
module.
You
can
assign
different
control
messages
to
the
pedal
or
the
C1
slider
for
each
Part.

Ifa
pedal
is
connected
to
the
TX
Pedal
Jack
but
nothing
is
connected
to
the
MIDI
OUT
connector,
the
Control
messages
from
the
pedal
connected
to
the
TX
Pedal
Jack
will
be
transmitted
to
the
internal
sound
source.
