Easy Tone Selection (Switching Parts)
By switching Parts, you can select Tones easily.
The RS-5/9 has 16 Parts. Parts are the equivalent of performers playing
instruments, and you can assign a different Tone to each individual Part.
• Selecting Tones By Category (TONE CATEGORY)
• Selecting Tones by Specifying the Group and Number
The two methods of selecting Tones shown above are used to change Tones
while a single Part is selected.
Here, let’s select a Tone easily by switching Parts.

Press PART [ ]/[ ] and select one of the Parts 1–16.

By selecting a Tone (p. 23,
26) or Drum Set (p. 29, 30)
after selecting a Part, you
can then switch the Tone or
Drum Set for that Part.
