Replacing the Wiper
The wiper is a component that is used when cleaning the print heads. When the screen shown below is dis-
played on the display screen, it is time for replacement. Replace it with a new item.
For information about purchasing wipers, contact your authorized Roland DG Corp. dealer.
CAUTION
Be sure to perform operations as specied by the instructions above,
and never touch any area not specied in the instructions.
Failure to observe these precautions may cause the machine to move sud-
denly, resulting in injury.
1. Enter the wiper replacement menu.

When the screen on the left is displayed, press .

Remove any media.

Press .

Press several times to display the screen shown
at left.
Press
, and then press twice.

Press .

Press .
The print-head carriage moves to a location where wiper replacement
is possible, and then the screen shown on the left appears.
