Synchronizing the VS-2400CD and Video Equipment
What is V-LINK
V-LINK ( ) is a function that allows music and images to be
performed together. By using MIDI to connect two or more V-LINK
compatible devices, you can easily enjoy performing a wide range of visual
effects that are linked to the expressive elements of a music performance.
(Examples)
By using the VS-2400CD in conjunction with the Edirol DV-7PR’s “Presenter,” you can
do the following things.
• Settings necessary for operation of the Edirol DV-7PR can be made from the
VS-2400CD.
• You can use the faders of the VS-2400CD to control video playback.
• You can use the VS-2400CD’s automix for sync roll of video from the Edirol DV-7PR
and sound.
Switching V-LINK mode on
Before you switch V-LINK mode on, you must start up your V-LINK compatible video
device.
1. Press the VS-2400CD’s V-LINK button.
A dialog box will ask you to confirm the operation.
2. Press ENTER/YES.
V-LINK mode will be turned on, and V-LINK will light.If you press EXIT/NO, the
operation will be cancelled.
SYNC parameters:
• EXT SYNC SOURCE—is set to MIDI IN.
• SYNC AUTO—is set to On.

MIDI parameters:
• MIDI OUT/THRU—is set to Out.
• SysEx. Tx Sw—is set to On.
• SysEx. Rx Sw—is set to On.
• MMC SOURCE—is set to MIDI.
V.FADER parameters:
• FADER 1—is set to CC#10.
• FADER 2—is set to CC#7.
• FADER 3—is set to CC#5.
• FADER 4—is set to CC#1.
• FADER 5—is set to CC#72.
• FADER Tx Ch1–5—are set to 1.
AUTOMIXS is also turned on.

When V-LINK mode is turned on, the following parameters will be switched for V-LINK
mode operation.
