This section explains the basic procedures that are necessary for recording with
the VS-880EX. Try out each operation as you read these instructions.
Items Necessary for Multi-Track Recording
The VS-880EX
Internal IDE hard disk (1)
Audio equipment for the Master Out signal, or stereo headphones
Recording source (electric guitar, synthesizer, CD player, etc.) or microphone
IDE (Appendices p. 123)
Creating a New Song
Recording cannot take place while a demo song is selected. This is
because the contents of the demo songs are protected from
being changed or overwritten. Use the following procedure to pre-
pare a new song. This process is analogous to exchanging cassettes on
a multi-track tape recorder.
