This section explains the operations involved in the multi-track recording
process, all the way to making a master tape. Try out each operation as you read
these instructions.
Registering and Recalling Locators
On the VS-880EX, you can register “locations” or points during the song where
you may wish to listen to the contents or record over them. The VS-880EX fea-
tures simple and instant recall of such points, making it unnecessary to spend
time rewinding or fast forwarding. This feature that allows you to instantly
jump to a point in the record designated for playback is called the Locator func-
tion.
Here we will see how to register a point in the song and recall this designated
location.

Press [PLAY] to begin playback of the song.

Play back the song until you reach the point where you want to
store, or register, a location, and press one of the LOC buttons
[1/5]–[4/8]. For example, if you want to designate LOCATOR 1,
press [1/5]. Additionally, if you want to designate LOCATOR 5,
hold down [SHIFT] and press [1/5].
The location is registered, and the button indicator lights.
