Chapter 2 Operation

Pass the media between the pinch rollers and
the grit rollers, bringing the end of the media as
far as the platen.

Align the media.

Position so that both edges of the media are aligned above the grit rollers, and move the pinch
rollers to position them above the grit rollers.
Move the entire roll media to perform positioning.
The pinch rollers cannot be lowered at any position other than above the grit rollers. You can vary the number of
middle pinch rollers used according to the width and composition of the media. Increasing the number used
makes media feed correspondingly more stable.

For the middle pinch rollers,
choose positions that are as
evenly spaced as possible
with respect to the width of
the media.
Position the left and right pinch rollers over
the edges of the media.

guides for positioning the grit rollers.

Be sure to place the right edge of the
media on this grit roller.
