2.3 Functional Principle
The ROSENBAUER DIGIDOS is an electrically driven direct-
injection foam proportioning system.
The system is controlled using the LCS control unit.
A gear pump is used as the foam compound pump. This pump
type - no inlet or outlet valves - is characterized by extremely
high operating safety.
Furthermore, this proportioning system has very precise
regulation of the proportioning rate - essentially independent
of the viscosity of the foam compound. This is achieved by
continually comparing the measured water flow, the pre-
configured proportioning rate and the foam compound flow
rate actually injected.
