To Upload Configuration Files
You can use individual or archived conguration les to
restore your switcher conguration.
1. Open a web browser and navigate to the IP address
of the switcher frame. You are prompted to enter a
user name and password. The defaults are user and
password.
2. Click Files > Configuration.
3. Click Choose File and use the window to select
the conguration le you want to upload.
4. Click Upload Configuration.
A list of the congurations to be uploaded is shown.
These congurations will overwrite the current
congurations.
5. Click Restore.
Force Panel Upgrade
Ross Technical Support may require you to upgrade the
control panel to x an issue. This procedure upgrades
the software on the control panel but not the frame.
Important: Do not upgrade the control panel using
this method unless instructed to do so by Ross
Technical Support.
To Force an Upgrade of the Control Panel
Press HOME > More > System Shutdown >
Upgrade Panel.
Still-Store Permissions
Using a third-party application to upload, edit, or move
media items or directories on the switcher can cause the
permissions to those les or directories to be set
incorrectly. This can cause problems working with the
les or directories from the switcher. These permissions
need to be cleaned up to restore proper access.
To Clean Still-Store Permissions
Important: Cleaning the permissions for the still-store
can take a long time and cannot be stopped once
started. The switcher may be unresponsive during
this time.
1. Open a web browser and navigate to the IP address
of the switcher frame. You are prompted to enter a
user name and password. The defaults are user and
password.
2. Click Other... > Still-Store Permissions.
3. Click Clean Still-Store Permissions.
Dusting Mode
Dusting mode allows you to clean the surface of the
control panel, including the touchscreen display, without
the switcher reacting to any accidental pressing of
buttons. Dusting mode does not affect the operation of
the switcher, but prevents the switcher from acting upon
button presses.
CAUTION: Do not use water, or any other liquid
cleaner, to clean the surface of the control panel.
Doing so can cause personal injury and/or damage
to the control panel itself. A dry duster, vacuum, or
low pressure compressed air should be used to clean
the surface of the control panel.
To Put the Switcher in Dusting Mode
1. Press HOME > More > System Shutdown >
More > Dust.
2. Dust the surface of the control panel as required. In
dusting mode the switcher will not act upon any
input from the control panel.
3. Press the two Exit buttons at the same time to exit
dusting mode.
Factory Default Settings
Each switcher comes pre-congured from the factory
with a number of default settings. Recalling these default
settings allows you to return the switcher to a known
state for diagnostic purposes, creating new setups, or if
advised to do so by Ross Technical support.
The recalling of factory default setting is performed on
individual register types. Defaulting one of these register
types will return all the entries stored in registers of that
type to the factory installed state. Any entries in the
registers are destroyed.
Note: If the Installation menu is locked, you cannot recall the
factory default settings for Installation, but all other registers will
recall normally.
The following registers can be defaulted:
Personality all the user interface settings. These
registers contain items such as mnemonic settings,
preview overlay positions and settings, and transition
rates. As a rule, anything that is set up from the
Personality menus is stored in these registers.
Memories all the memories that are stored on
the switcher.
Switcher all keyer settings and ME settings.
Installation all the external device setup and
software congurations settings for the switcher. As
a rule, anything that is set up from the Installation
menus is stored in this register.
