• Clean the cylinder head thoroughly after resizing the valve
guide. Re-center the valve seat in relation to the new valve
guide, using a valve seat cutter.
• Check the contact surface using engineer’s blue.
• Position the thrust washer W on the valve guide R and fit
a new valve stem oil seal Q.
Valves
■ Caution: Do not reface the valve contact surface I.
If necessary replace the valve. The seat,
however, can be lapped with grinding paste.
Never grind the tip of the valve stem O!
• Carefully the valve using a wire brush. Eliminate any traces
of carbon from the valve.
• Measure the diameter of the valve stem “A” with a micrometer.
Valve stem diameter, new min. 3.96 mm
Wear limit ☞
Valve stem diameter “A” min. 3.95 mm
• Measurement “B” indicates the state of wear of the valve
contact surface. If measurement “B” is less than the limit,
replace the valve.
Wear limit ☞
Valve seat surface “B” 0.6 mm
• The valve contact surfaces must not be concave: measure
with a straight edge.
• Check the alignment P of the valve stem between two “V”
blocks, measuring with a gauge.
Wear limit ☞
Valve stem alignment 0.06 mm
• Dopo l’alesaggio del guidavalvola pulire la testata
accuratamente. Ricentrare la sede valvola relativa all’asse
del nuovo guidavalvola con un dispositivo di rilavorazione
sede valvola.
• Controllare la superficie di contatto con pasta di minio o blu
di Prussia.
• Posizionare il rasamento W sul guidavalvola R e montare
un nuovo paraolio stelo valvola Q.
Valvole
■ Attenzione: La superficie di contatto I della valvola
non deve essere rettificata. Se necessario
sostituire la valvola. È però possibile
aggiustare la sede con pasta smeriglio.Non
si deve rettificare una valvola alla fine dello
stelo O!
• Eliminare i residui di combustione dalle valvole.
• Controllare il diametro dello stelo valvola ”A” con micrometro.
Diametro stelo valvola, nuova min. 3,96 mm
Limite di usura ☞
Diametro stelo valvola ”A” min. 3,95 mm
• La dimensione ”B” indica lo stato di usura della superficie
di contatto della valvola. Se la dimensione ”B” è inferiore
al limite, sostituire la valvola.
Limite di usura ☞
Superficie sede valvola ”B” 0,6 mm
• La superficie di contatto della valvola non deve essere
concava, misurare con un regolo.
• Controllare l’assialità P dello stelo valvola fra due blocchi a
”V” con un comparatore.
Limite di usura ☞
Assialità stelo valvola 0,06 mm
