Variator — remove
◆ Note: The primary and secondary pulleys and the
clutch can be serviced with the engine still
installed on the frame. Follow the vehicle
manufacturer’s instructions exactly.
• If the engine is installed on the vehicle, remove the variator
cover with the air duct attached to it, after taking out the 10
or 14 M6 Allen screws.
■ Caution: All traces of oil and/or grease must be
removed from the belt and any parts that
come into contact with it.
• On the secondary drive, hold the clutch drum Q still with the
cylindrical parts of the retainer tool T and remove the M12x1
hex nut Y (size 19 wrench) together with the spring washer.

• Withdraw the clutch drum Q from the gear shaft.
◆ Note: If the clutch drum is difficult to remove from
the shaped part of the gear shaft W, you will
have to remove the clutch drum with a
special extractor tool, available on the
market.
• Press on the secondary moving pulleys E and turn it
clockwise so that it moves away from the secondary fixed
pulley R and slackens the belt T.
• Move the belt to the smallest part of the pulley diameter and
separate the pulleys.

Variatore — smontaggio
◆ Nota: Si possono fare lavori di manutenzione alle
pulegge primarie e secondarie con frizione
con il motore installato nel telaio. Rispettare
assolutamente le direttive del costruttore del
mezzo.
• Se il motore è installato nel mezzo, rimuovere il coperchio
variatore con convogliatore d’aria montato dopo aver tolto
le 10 o 14 viti a brugola M6.
■ Attenzione: È necessario eliminare tracce di olio e/o
grasso dalla cinghia e delle parti in contatto
con essa.
• Alla trasmissione secondaria bloccare la campana frizione
Q con le parti cilindriche della chiave di fissaggio T e
rimuovere il dado esag. M12x1 (chiave da 19) Y assieme
alla rondella elastica.

• Estrarre la campana frizione Q dall’albero trasmissione.
◆ Nota: Se la campana frizione è dura da togliere
dal profilo dell’albero trasmissione W è
necessario estrarre la campana con un
attrezzo estrattore specifico che si trova in
comercio.
• Premere la puleggia secondaria mobile E e ruotarla in senso
orario allontandola dalla puleggia secondaria fissa R per
allentare la tensione della cinghia T.
• Portare la cinghia sul diametro più piccolo della puleggia e
separare le pulegge.
