Water pump - pre-assembly
• Slightly moisten the external surface of the new oil seals
with fire-proof solvent (q, w). Do not lubricate!
• Fit the inserter jig { and spacer } to the handle; position
the external oil seal q with the closed side on the spacer
and fit it in the pump body P, pressing it fully home.

• Remove the spacer } from the inserter jig { and position
the internal oil seal w with the sealing lip facing the inserter
jig and fit it so that it is level with the water pump body.
■ Caution: Recheck the position of the 2 oil seals,
whose closed sides must be facing each
other.
• Lubricate the sealing lips inside the oil seals thoroughly
before fitting the water pump shaft. Then fill the space
between the oil seals with MOLYKOTE 111.
• Lubricate the new O-rings e, and fit them on the water pump
body.
• Thoroughly lubricate the water pump shaft r and insert it
carefully.
Oil pressure retaining valve
• Check the condition and cleanliness of the ball seat in the
crankcase.
• Measure the free length (L) of the spring Q, replacing it if
necessary.
Wear limit ☞ free length of spring
(L) = 13.2 mm
• Check for signs of damage on the ball W.
• Clean and check the valve housingE.
Pompa dell'acqua — premontaggio
• Inumidire di petrolio la superficie esterna dei nuovi paraolio
q w, non lubrificare!
• Mettere sull'impugnatura il tampone di montaggio { e il
distanziale }; posare il paraolio esterno q con il lato chiuso
sul distanziale e montarlo nel corpo pompa acqua P fino in
fondo.

• Togliere il distanziale } dal tampone montaggio { e posare
il paraolio interno w con il bordo di tenuta orientato verso il
tampone di montaggio e montarlo finché sia allo stesso
livello del corpo pompa acqua.
■ Attenzione: Ricontrollare la posizione dei 2 paraolio che
devono essere con i 2 lati chiusi affiancati.
• Prima del montaggio dell’albero pompa acqua lubrificare
bene il bordo di tenuta interno dei paraolio. Poi riempire lo
spazio fra i paraolio con MOLYKOTE 111.
• Montare sul corpo pompa acqua dei nuovi anelli OR e
lubrificati .
• Lubrificare bene l'albero pompa acqua r e inserirlo con
cautela.
Valvola di sovrappressione olio
• Controllare la bontà della sede della sfera nel carter e se è
eventualmente sporca.
• Controllare la lunghezza libera (L) della molla Q, sostituire
se necessario.
Limite di usura ☞ lunghezza libera della molla
(L) = 13,2 mm
• Controllare se eventualmente la sfera W è danneggiata.
• Pulire il corpo valvola E e controllarlo.
