2) Time limit
General
The time limit for engine operation will be specified by the TBO.
After reaching
this time limit
For an overhaul, the engine must be removed from the aircraft, be
cleaned, preserved and all openings to be closed to prevent entering of
contaminants.

NOTICE
A general overhaul is due after a defined period of op-
eration or after a specified calendar life since initial
start of operation (whichever comes first).

NOTICE
After reaching this time limit, the engine has to be
shipped to an authorized ROTAX overhaul facility.
