Safety information
Please make sure if the device you would like to connect your K1X meets the
valid safety regulations. Especially it is of great importance that the
appliance is furnished with a security earthing.
Fitting / Start of operation
The fitting of the K1X pick-up casing is normally done by your music retailer.
(See separate installation guide.)
Please lubricate slightly all rubber rings at the pick-up system, sealing plug
and at the casing with the eclosed grease before first using. Insert the pick-
up with a little pressure into the assembled casing until you feel a slight snap
in. To avoid accumulation of condensed water in the pick-up we suggest you
to position the barrel in a way that the pick-up is located on the side or on top.
To use your instrument without pick-up please insert the enclosed sealing
plug into the casing.
Connection
The connection is effected with enclosed phantom powering cable PA-K1
into a XLR-input of a mixer. The 48 V phantom powering of the mixer must
be switched on! The connecting cable can be lengthened with any normal
microfone cable.
With the passive cable PK-K1 (optionally available) the K1X could be
connected directly into an effects unit with high-impendance input.
Otherway, if necessary, please use insert plug socket of your mixer with
insert cable to loop-in a special effects unit.
Using with wireless system
K1X affords the optimal preconditions for using with wireless
systems. The pick-up works passively and requires no supply
voltage. Suitable for the wireless transmission of the K1X are all
wireless systems for guitar (Impedance > 250 kOhm). The
necessary adapter cable AF-K1 (optionally available) you can get
from your music retailer. For further information please look at our
