keep a safe distance of around 15 m in all directions. When cutting
grass, personal injuries can be caused by flying stones or branches.
Wear suitable clothing and personal protective equipment when using
the grass trimmer. Always use safety goggles or other eye protection,
ear defenders, shoes with non slip soles and heavy duty trousers and
gloves. This reduces the risk of personal injury.
Do not wear a long skirt or dress, loose fitting clothing or jewellery
that could get caught in moving parts of the trimmer. Never go bare-
foot or just in sandals when using the trimmer.
Ensure you have a stable footing when using the trimmer. Pay particular
attention when working on uneven ground. It is important to be in control

Do not use the trimmer when you are tired or under the influence of
alcohol, medication or drugs.
Take regular breaks. Make sure your work area is well lit.
Do not use the grass trimmer when it is raining, poor weather in general
or damp. The risk of electric shocks increases if moisture enters the
trimmer.
The safety features on the grass trimmer and your personal protective
equipment are designed to protect you and others. The end results will
also be better.

on. Risk of personal injury!
