Installation
࡛ Make sure that the line set is longer than is needed to
reach from the indoor to the outdoor unit, to allow for
bends and final connections. For more on pipe lengths, see
Step 1-1 Viewing the typical installation on page 6.
࡛ If not using a premanufactured line set:
ࣞ Only use insulated seamless refrigeration-grade
copper pipe (Cu DHP-type according to ISO1337),
degreased and deoxidized, suitable for operating
pressures of at least 609 psig (4200 kPa) and for a
burst pressure of at least 3002 psig (20700 kPa).
ࣞ Do not use sanitary-type copper pipe under any
circumstances.
ࣞ Use standard cables.
