Deactivating Bixby Voice
You can deactivate Bixby Voice from launching even when you press and hold the Bixby key
or say “Hi Bixby”.
On the Bixby Home screen, tap
→
Settings
and tap the
Bixby Voice
switch to deactivate it.
Bixby Voice usages
Launching apps or functions
Launch apps or functions quickly using Bixby Voice.
Say your request including the app or feature name to help Bixby Voice execute your request
more accurately.

Press and hold the Bixby key, say “Call mom”, and then release your finger from the Bixby
key.

Bixby will now make a call to the contact saved as mom and you can begin your
conversation.
Browsing the Internet
Say “Search for nearby libraries on the Internet” to Bixby Voice.
The
Internet
app will show the results. Check the results.
Checking your tasks
Say “Show me my tasks” to Bixby Voice.
The
Calendar
app will launch and it will show your task list.
Viewing your travel photos
Say “Open Gallery and find photos taken in New York” to Bixby Voice.
The
Gallery
app will launch and it will show you the photos taken in New York.
Recording voice
Say “Open Voice Recorder and start recording” to Bixby Voice.
The
Voice Recorder
app will launch and it will start recording.
Viewing your step count records
Say “Show me my step count for today” to Bixby Voice.
The
Samsung Health
app will launch and it will show you the steps tracker.
