Starting Samsung DeX on external display
Connect your tablet to an external display and use tablet’s features on a large screen.
Without changing your tablet’s screen, the Samsung DeX screen will appear on the
connected TV or monitor.
To switch to Samsung DeX directly when connecting the DeX Cable, launch the
Settings
app, tap
Advanced features
→
Samsung DeX
, and then tap the
Auto start when HDMI is
connected
switch to activate it.

Plug a tablet connector into the multipurpose jack on the tablet.

Connect the HDMI connector to a TV or monitor’s HDMI port.
Samsung DeX screen will appear on the connected screen.
Closing Samsung DeX on external display
To close Samsung DeX on external display, disconnect your tablet from the DeX Cable.
Alternatively, launch the
Settings
app, tap
Samsung DeX
→
Auto start when HDMI is
connected
switch to deactivate it.
