the Cast icon before sending it on to your TV. Many of the movie-
based apps on Galaxy Apps and Google Play are compatible with
Chromecast, so your best bet is to download some and si mply look
around for the trusted Cast icon. Once you’re i nished casting the
video on your TV, just press the Cast icon again and the stream will
stop, with the video then loading on your Galaxy device.
Cast your tunes
Another area in which the Chromecast
service works a treat is with streaming
music. The predominant app you can
use for this is Google Play music, which
includes a Cast icon at the top of the Play
Music app. Any song can be sent across
to your TV and users can even create
playlists of songs to stream. Once you’ve
sent a song across, your Samsung Galaxy
will be turned int o a virtual rem ote,
where you can control volume levels
and skip through certain songs. Even
better, you can stream podcasts and live music feeds through a
wealth of apps available for all Galaxy users.
W orking from home
If you’ re looking for a solution to working from home , Chromecast
has it covered. You can cast i les, documents and work projects
directly to your TV with a bunch of Chromecast-enabled apps.
These include the likes of Google Drive, Dropbox and SugarSync. If
you then connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to your Galaxy
device, you can work completely on your TV . With all your cre ated
documents, you can use any of the compatible cloud storage
accounts to save and share your i les with fellow work colleagues.
