Customising your
Galaxy device
When you i rst set up your
Galaxy device, many settings
will have been taken care of.
There’s a lot you can do to
personalise these, though, from
changing the home and lock-
screen wallpapers to altering
the fonts or the sounds used
for ringtones, alerts and more.

Control the

There are lots of dif erent ways
in which your Galaxy device
uses sound. The one that
is li kely to spring to mind is
ringtones, but there are lots more. How about all the dif erent k inds
of notii cations for dif erent incoming communications? There are
lots and lots of built-in sounds that you can use as ringtones and
notii cations, and experimenting with them can be an entertaining
exper i e nce.
In fact, some of the sounds aren’t real ly l ike noises at all. These
relate to vibrations and something called ‘haptic feedback’, which
refers to those small tactile jolts you get when you tap and hold
app icons on the screen. There is a sound associated with these, but
