Insert a USB memory device into the USB memory port on your machine.

Select (Menu) > Direct USB > File Manage >Format on the control
panel.

Press OK when the confirmation window appears.

Viewing the USB memory status
You can check the amount of memory space available for scanning and saving
documents.

Insert a USB memory device into the USB memory port on your machine.

Select (Menu) > Direct USB > Show Space on the control panel.

The available memory space appears on the display.

Press (Stop/Clear) button to return to ready mode.
