TheLSU(LaserBeamPrinter)isasealedfactoryassemblyinwhichthevideodatareceivedtothecontrollerisusedtoform
anelectrostaticlatentimageontheOPCdrum.Itisaccomplishedbyuseofapolygonmirrorandlaserbeam.TheOPC
drumisturnedwiththepaperfeedingspeed.TheHSYNCsignaliscreatedwhenthelaserbeamfromLSUreachestheend
ofthepolygonmirror,andthesignalissenttothecontroller.ThecontrollerdetectstheHSYNCsignaltoadjustthevertical
lineoftheimageonpaper.Inotherwords,aftertheHSYNCsignalisdetected,theimagedataissenttotheLSUtoadjust
theleftmarginonpaper.Theonesideofthepolygonmirrorisonelineforscanning.
