2.2.6.3.Fusing
Thetemperaturechangeoftheheatroller’ssurfaceischangedtotheresistancevaluethroughtheuseofathermistor.The
MainBoardusestheresistancevalueofanegativecoefcientThermistorandconvertsittoavoltagevaluethroughthe
useofanADconverter,thetemperatureisdecidedbasedonthevoltagevalueread.TheACpoweriscontrolledby
comparingthetargettemperaturetothevaluefromthethermistor.Ifthevaluefromthethermistorisoutofcontrolling
range,ordoesnotchangeafterapredeterminedamountoftimeanerrorisdisplayedandtheFuserPoweriscutoff.Errors
occurbasedonthebulletsbelow:
•OpenHeatError
Whentheengineoperatesthewarm-upprocess,ifthetemperatureofthexingunitisnothigherthanaspecied
temperature,theenginedenesOpenHeatError.Whenthiserrorisdetected,theenginestopsallfunctionsandkeeps
theerrorstate.Also,theengineinformstheerrorstatusofthemainsystem,soitcantakeappropriateaction;andthen
theerrormessageisdisplayedatLCDwindoworLEDinformingtheerrorstatusoftheuser.
•LowHeatError
Whentheengineisatstand-by,printingorwarm-upmode,ifthetemperatureofthexingunitislowerthanthe
speciedtemperatureateachstateandthelowertemperaturestateismaintainedduringthespeciedtime,theengine
denesLowHeatError.Whenthiserrorisdetected,theenginestopsallfunctionsandkeepsitattheerrorstate.Also,
theengineinformstheerrorstatusofthemainsystem,soitcantakeappropriateaction;andthentheerrormessage
isdisplayedatLCDwindoworLEDinformingtheerrorstatusoftheuser.
•OverHeatError
Foroverallenginestate,ifthetemperatureofthexingunitishigherthanthespeciedtemperatureandthetemperature
stateisdetectedforaspecicduration,thentheenginedenesOverHeatError.Whenthiserrorisdetected,theengine
stopsallfunctionsandkeepsitattheerrorstate.Also,theengineinformstheerrorstatusofthemainsystem,soit
cantakeappropriateaction;andthentheerrormessageisdisplayedatLCDwindoworLEDinformingtheerror
statusoftheuser.

LSUreceivestheimagedatafromPVCorHPVCandmakethelatentimageonOPCsurface.Itusesthesinglebeam,
LD.TheerrorsrelatedtoLSUareasfollows:
•ByLready
Whentheprintingisstarted,theenginedrivesthepolygonmotorofLSU.Afterthespeciedtimeiselapsed,ifthe
motorisnotinareadystatus,theenginedetectstheerrorthatthepolygonmotorisnotinareadystatus.Ifthiserror
happens,theenginestopsallfunctionsandkeepsitattheerrorstate.Also,theengineinformstheerrorstatusofthe
mainsystemandtheerrormessageisdisplayedatLCDwindowtoinformtheerrorstatusoftheuser.
•ByHsync
Whenthepolygonmotorisready,theLSUsendsoutthesignalcalledHsyncandusedtosynchronizewitheachimage
line.So,iftheenginedoesnotdetectconsecutivelythesignalforaxedtime,itdenestheHsyncError.Ifthiserror
happens,theenginestopsallfunctionsandkeepsitattheerrorstate.Also,theengineinformstheerrorstatusofthe
mainsystemandthentheerrormessageisdisplayedatLCDwindowtoinformtheerrorstatusoftheuser.LSUError
Recovery:IftheLReadyorHsyncerrorhappens,thepaperisexitedbeforetheerrorcodeisinitiated.Theenginemode
ischangedtorecoverymodeandtheengineinformsthemainsystemoftheenginemode.Andtheenginechecksthe
LSUerror.Iftheerrordoesn’thappen,theprintingjobresumes.
