Loading Paper for Receiving Faxes
The instructions for loading paper in the paper tray are the same
whether you are printing, faxing, or copying, except that faxes
can only be printed on Letter-, A4- or Legal-sized plain paper.

tray, see page 1.12 and page 1.36.
Receiving Automatically in Fax
Mode
Your machine is preset to Fax mode at the factory. If you have
changed the receiving mode, take the following steps to receive
faxes automatically:
1 Press Receive Mode.
2 Press and hold Receive Mode until “Fax” displays on the
bottom line. You may have to repeat this action once or
twice, depending on the mode you’re in.
3 When you receive a fax, the machine answers the call on a
specified number of rings and automatically receives the
fax.

Receiving Manually in Tel Mode
You can answer calls using the handset or the On Hook Dial
button.
1 Press Receive Mode.
2 Press and hold Receive Mode until “Tel” displays on the
bottom line. You may have to repeat this action once or
twice, depending on the mode you’re in.
