•ServiceFunctions>MainMemoryClear
Thisfunctionresetsthemainmemoryofthesystemtothefactorydefaultsetting.Itcanbeusedtoresetthesystemto
theinitialvaluewhentheproductisfunctioningabnormally.Alltheuserconguredvaluesreturntothedefaultvalues.
Toclearthemainmemory,usersneedtoselectthecountryofthesystemlocates,andrebootingofthesystemisrequired.
•ServiceFunctions>HardDiskMaintenance
-DeviceCongurationDataClear:Thisfunctionformatsalldevicecongurationdata,forexample,userprole,
addressbook,anddevicessettings,ontheharddisk.
-TemporaryandSpoolDataClear:Thisfunctionformatsalltemporaryandspooldatasavedontheharddisk.
-UserSavedDataandLogDataClear:Thisfunctionformatsalltheuserdata,forexample,boxdata,pendingsecure
jobs,font,form,macro,datarelatedapplications,andjoblog,ontheharddisk.
-AllSavedDataClear:Thisfunctionformatsallthedatathatcanbeerasedwith3functionsabove.Thefunction
willNOTformattheharddiskentirely.
-HardDiskCheck:Thisfunctionchecksabadsectorintheharddisk.Ifabadsectorisfound,thesystemwill
displayanerrormessageandsendanemailnoticationtothesystemadministrator.
•ServiceFunctions>Port
Thisfunctionenables/disablesremoteconnectionstothesystemviatelnet,OSGIcommandshell,andSMB(samba)
protocol.
Thisfunctioncanbeusedwhenthereisaproblemthatrequiresdeveloperstoaccessthesystemorwhenthereisa
needfordeveloperstouploadapplicationsforatest.
Sinceenablingthoseportscancreatesariskofdamagingdatastoredinthedevice,agreementoftheadministratorofthe
customersiteisnecessary.Theusermustloginastheadministratortoenable/disabletheservices.
•ServiceFunctions>DebugLog
Thisfunctionsetsthesystemlogmessagelevel.Userscanselectthreeoptions.
-Off:Thisoptiondisablestheloggingoption.
-JobStatus:Thisoptiononlyenablestheloggingoptionofusercreatedjobs.
-Details:Thisoptionenablesalltheloggingoptionsoftherunningtasksofthesystem.Notethatthisoptionmight
createatrade-offofperformanceincertainsystemoperation.Usethisoptionwhenthesystembehavesabnormally,
andengineersneedtoinvestigateproblems.
