Text-to-speech options

PREFERRED TTS ENGINE
: Select a speech synthesis engine. To change the settings for
speech synthesis engines, tap

Speech rate
: Select a speed for the text-to-speech feature.
•
Listen to an example
: Listen to the spoken text for an example.
•
Default language status
: View the status of the default language for the text-to-speech
feature.
Pointer speed
Adjust the pointer speed for the mouse or trackpad connected to your device.
Voice control
Set the device to recognize voice commands for controlling your device. You can select the
features to control with voice commands.
Alarm: Say “Stop” or Snooze” to stop or snooze an alarm.
Camera: Take pictures by saying “Capture”, “Shoot”, “Smile” or “Cheese”. Record video by saying
“Record video”’.
Music: Control the music player by saying “Next”, “Previous”, “Play”, “Pause”, Volume up”, or
Volume down”.
Palm motion
Activate the palm motion feature to control the device by touching the screen.

Capture screen
: Set the device to capture an image of the screen when you sweep your
hand to the left or right across the screen.
•
Mute/Pause
: Set the device to pause media playback when you touch the screen with
your palm.
Smart screen

Smart stay
: Set the device to prevent the display backlight from turning off while you are
looking at the display.
