Orienting the touchpad
When you are using your tablet as a touchpad, you can use it in either the horizontal or
vertical alignment.
To rotate the touchpad, rotate the tablet or double-tap
.
Using your tablet while using the touchpad
You can use apps on your tablet even while it is being used as a touchpad.
Drag upwards from the bottom of the screen to show the navigation bar, tap the Home
button to move to the Home screen, and then select apps you want to use.
Using the screen keyboard
When you enter text to send messages, create notes, or perform other tasks, a screen
keyboard will appear automatically on your tablet’s screen without connecting an external
keyboard.
To send a text message, launch the
Settings
app, tap
Connections
, and then tap the
Call & Message Continuity
switch to activate it. You must register and sign in to the
same Samsung account on your device and the other device. (SM-T720)
If the keyboard does not appear, select
on the quick access toolbar.
Ending Samsung DeX
When you use Samsung DeX on tablet screen, on the status bar, tap

.
When you use Samsung DeX from the connected TV or monitor, disconnect your tablet
from the DeX Cable or tap

on the status bar. You can also close Samsung DeX from
Samsung DeX panel. Tap
at the bottom of the left corner and tap
Exit DeX
