ADJUSTMENTS

For
the
adjustment
required
in
printer
assembly,
refer
to
Adjustment
A
and
B
in
the
following.
@
All
adjustments
are
made
when
the
printer
is
manufactured
at
the
factory.
However,
if
parts
are
desassembled
or
replaced
for
maintainance
or
repair,
the
partinent
adjustments
must
be
performed
for
normal
operation
of
the
printer.

the
Timing
Detector
Ass’y
1
@
Manually
rotate
the
second
reduction
gear
until
the
desired
ratchet
teeth
of
the
print-
ing
wheel
ass’y
are
aligned
with
the
tip
of
the
character
selective
pawls.

0.25-mm
overlap
Apply
the
rated
voltage
to
the
timing
detector
ass’y,
then
use
an
oscilloscope
to
observe
the
output
waveforms.

Loosen
the
setscrew
S-4
(M38)
of
the
timing
detector
ass’‘y,
then
rotate
the
tim-
ing
detector
ass’‘y
in
the
®
arrow
direction.
At
this
time,
the
output
waveforms
should
change
to
LOW
level.
@
When
the
timing
detector
ass’y
is
rotated
in
the
opposite
direction,
the
output
wave-
forms
should
change
to
HIGH
level.
@
Slowly
rotate
the
timing
detector
assy
again
in
the
®
arrow
direction,
then
tighten
its
setscrew
to
mount
it
at
the
position
just
before
the
output
waveforms
change
from
HIGH
to
LOW
level.
(Screw-tightening
torque:
3
kg/cm)
Use
the
oscilloscope
to
check
the
output
voltage
of
the
Timing
signals.
