ALIGNMENT PROCEDURES
General
Test Conditions
Signal generator output:
Modulation frequency
AM400Hz, FM 1000Hz
Modulation percentage
Afvf30~o, FM22.5kHz
Signal level just high enough to provide meter deflection.
Signal application:
Antenna receptacle through the dummy antenna.
Output meter connection:
Across a speaker or a dummy load 4 ohms.
Setting of radio controls:
Volume control at maximum response.
Tone control at high note position.
Power supply: 14.4V
Locations of the components for alignment are shown in MAIN
PARTS IDENTIFICATION ILLUSTRATION.
Alignment of Head Azimuth
1. Insert a BASF 6.3kHz standard test tape and set the unit in
play mode.
2. Turn the azimuth adjusting screw until you obtain maximum
reading on the VTVM.
