1. VCO adjustment
(1)
Connect
counter
between
TP-1
(hot)
and
TP-2
(earth).
(2)
Adjust
CT401
until
the
counter
display
becomes
400,000 kHz + 4 Hz.
NOTE
Use
counter
of
high
input
impedance.
2. Bias adjustment
(1)
Connect
DVTVM
between
TP-3
and
TP-4.
(2)
Adjust
R470
(SVR)
until
the
DVTVM
indicates
less
than + 10 mV.
NOTE
@
Use
DVTVM
or
DC
voltmeter
of
which
resolution
is
less
than
1
mV.
Also
use
one
of
high
input
impedance.

With
quartz
switch
turned
off,
adjust
at
the
position
where
local
oscillation
frequency
is
deviated
several
kHz from 50 kHz or 100 kHz position.

Tuning
meter
center
‘0’
balance
adjustment
The
lighting
width
of
LED
for
center
(green)
should
be
at
the
upper
side
or
lower
side
of
the
frequency.
If
unbalanced,
correct
by
means
of
R472
(SVR).
4. Lighting test of three tuning LEDs
Apply
signal
of
98.000
MHz,
output
60
to
80
dB
from
FM SG (MONO) into ANT input fo the tuner, and turn
dial
knob
to
receive
the
signal.
At
this
time,
make
sure
the
three
LEDs
light
up
as
illustrated
below
(quartz
switch: OFF).

(1) In lighting test of (4), stop at the position where only
the green LED lights, and turn on quartz switch, then
make sure the lock indicator (red LED) lights up.
(2) With quartz switch turned on, perform tuning opera-
tion, and make sure the voltage between TP-4 and the
earth becomes as shown below.
6. Make sure tuning LED does not light while the signal
indicator (LED) is being put out.
