Entering Symbols and Numbers
To enter symbols, select the
SYMBOL
mode. (See
“Selecting a Character Input Mode” on page 47.) To enter a
symbol:
1.
Highlight the line that includes your desired symbol.
2.
Press the appropriate key (1-9) indicated on the
display.
or
Highlight your desired symbol by using the Navigation
key, and press .

To enter numbers, select the
NUMBER
mode and press the
appropriate key (see “Selecting a Character Input Mode” on
page 47).
Shortcut:
You can also change to
the Symbol mode from
the other entering mode
by pressing and holding
.
Tip:
One symbol input
reverts to the previous
mode automatically.
Shortcut:
You can also change
to the Number mode
from the other
entering mode by
pressing and holding
. Or press and
hold the
corresponding
numeric key to enter
the number directly.
