52 Adjusting Volume
Changing Ringer/Key Volume
To change the ringer/key volume, adjust the and of
the Navigation key when the phone is in Standby mode.
To change the ringer volume from the main menu:
1.
From the Standby mode, press to display the
main menu.

and press .

Sounds
and press .
4.
Highlight
Ringer/Key Vol.
and press .
5.
Highlight
Ringer Volume
or
Key Beep
, and
press .

for adjusting Headset Key volume
and
Car Kit
for the Car Kit Ringer/Key volume can also
be selected.
6.
Select your desired volume level.
Silencing the Ringer
To silence the ringer (or stop vibration) on incoming calls:
1.
When the phone rings, press , or / of
the Navigation key.
2.
Press to answer the call or press for the
options.
OR
1.
When the phone rings, press to display the
options.
2.
Highlight
Quiet Ringer
and press .
3.
Press to answer the call or press for the
options.
Tip:
The confirmation beep
(saved/error) volume
also changes with the
“Key Beep” setting.
Tip:
If you press and hold
while ringing, it
starts Screen Call (see
page 132).
After you silence the
ringer, you also have an
option to activate
Screen Call.
