2-6-4. TAPE SENSOR (TOP, END) POSITION ALIGN-
MENT (See Fig. 2-6-4.)
The installation position must be adjusted if the tape sensor
is moved or is replaced.
(1) The unit should be in the STOP mode, with no tape
cassette.
(2) Loosely tighten the tape sensor installation screw (a).
(3) Install jig no. VHJ-0024 as shown in the figure, and
then adjust at the tape sensor circuit board so that the tape
sensor LED is at the center of the gauge hole.
(4) After making the adjustment, firmly tighten the tape
sensor installation screw (a).
(NOTE):
If the tape sensor position is deviated from the correct
position, the unit might not operate (depending on the type
of cassette tape). If this occurs, disconnect the power cord
plug and then reconnect it.
Note that this jig (VHJ-0024) is also applicable for use with
the VHR-1100, 1300 and 1500 series.
