1 Set the camera to the recording
mode (page 21), and toggle the
SET button down.
h The focus range menu appears.
o: The focus operates within the
ranges shown below (pan).

At maximum aperture setting:
80 cm (31.50 in.) to ∞
At minimum aperture setting:
52 cm (20.47 in.) to ∞
i Tele end:

3.3 m (10.83 ft.) to ∞
At minimum aperture setting:
2.2 m (7.22 ft.) to ∞
*: The camera automatically
focuses on the subject within a
range of 20 cm (7.87 in.) (Wide
end) or 70 cm (27.56 in.) (Tele
end) to infinity (auto).
+: You can focus on a subject within
the following ranges (macro):
Wide end: 20 cm (7.87 in.) to
50 cm (19.69 in.)
Tele end: 70 cm (27.56 in.) to
1m (3.28ft.)
-: The focus can be manually set to
any distance from 20 cm
(7.87 in.) to 10 m (32.81 ft.), as
well as to infinity (manual).
