5.3.2 Leaktightness Test
Ambient air entering the exhaust air disrupts the
measurement!
t Check whether the tubing, lines, connections
and the BioPAT
®
Xgas are leaktight.
t Block the gas outlet of the BioPAT
®
Xgas or
clamp off the lines to the exhaust air fittings in
the laboratory.
t Check whether gas is escaping from tubing,
lines, connections or the housing.
t Replace defective tubing, tighten loose
screws and | or fasten the tubing with hose
clamps. On pipelines with Tri-Clamp
connections, check and replace the Tri-Clamp
seals and gaskets.
t If gas is escaping out of the housing of the
BioPAT
®
Xgas, check that the flow adapters
are assembled leaktight, e.g. when you have
