2.1 General Information
Sartorius Stedim Biotech supplies the BioPAT
®
Xgas after careful testing in
ready-for-operation condition.
This manual contains instructions for the safe operation of the BioPAT
®
Xgas.
You may only operate the device under conditions that comply with the
specifications stated in this manual and the information on the manufacturer’s
ID label.

2.3 Intended Usage
The BioPAT
®
Xgas is a gas sensor for measuring carbon dioxide and oxygen
contents in the defined concentration range and under the conditions
during biological processes such as fermentations.
