2.5 Process-related Hazards
Risk of poisoning for persons when CO

released into the room! Risk of inflammation
for flammable materials if gases enriched with
oxygen escape into the room air!
t Determine the max. concentrations of gas
released into the room and evaluate whether
they could lead to hazardous situations, e.g. if
the room ventilation fails.
t Ensure that your work area is well ventilated
or connect the BioPAT
®
Xgas to the available
exhaust air fittings in your laboratory.
t Check all connections for leaks.
