Connect the sensor cable to the new
bottom media sensor PCB . Then,
attach the new bottom media sensor
PCB to the sensor bracket using
two screws .

Attach the sensor bracket to the
center frame using two screws .

Attach the media sensor assembly to
the center frame using two screws .
Make sure that the media sensor assembly can
be locked properly.
After replacement
• Adjust the media sensor.
Refer to Adjusting the Media Sensors in chapter 5 of S84-ex/S86-ex operator manual.
• Adjust the position of the media sensor.
Refer to Adjusting the Position of the Media Sensor in chapter 3 of S84-ex/S86-ex operator
manual.
• Perform test print to ensure proper function.
Refer to Section 4.3 Test Print Check for details.
