Trouble Shooting
Phasing Fault
After the printer status at “Printer is ready”, if the PCU detect the signal from
gutter sensor is unusual, the printer just displays the “Phasing fault” message on
the screen and will shut down automatically.
Type Cause* Solution
1. “Nozzle Drive” setup is
not correct.
Perform “Nozzle Drive Setup” procedure again (Refer
to Chapter 6, Maintenance.)
2. Caused by ink flow time
fault or out of expire
date.
Perform the “Flow Time Calibration” procedure. (Refer
to Chapter 6, Maintenance)
3. Unstable recovery
power of the system.
Check recovery system, cleaning or replace recovery
filter if necessary.

4. The nozzle, recovery
detects wire, gutter, and
ground wire of power
supply, PDU or PCU
board is failure.
Check the printer with follow steps to solve problem:
Clean the print head.
Check the ground wire of the power supply.
Check the ground connections on recovery detect
wire.
Check the connection between print head and PDU
board.
Back wash the nozzle.
Clean the gutter.
Replace the PDU or PCU board.
Remove strong interference source nearby the
printer.
