Procedure 3
Flushing the Printer with
Make-up or Cleaning Solution
Place ink tank cap
into a beaker which
with 300 ml make-up
inside. (Refer to
Figure6-25, Page
6-15)
Turn back-clockwise
of the screw of the
nozzle chassis. Take
off the nozzle cover.
(Refer to Figure 6-2)
Switch on the
power supply.
Select “Auto
Flush” in
<System
Maintenance>.
Reverse the
main filter.
(Ensure the
output
connector at
the upside).
Press “Enter”
for continues.
Is fluid from
ink tank cap
clean
enough?
‘Auto flushing’
will finish after
4 minutes,
dispose the
fluid in beaker,
and replenish
new make-up.
Use a container to hold
the pipe with blue mark.
(Refer to picture below)
Select “Manual
Control” in
<System
Maintenance-3>.
Open PUMP,
Recovery
Solenoid, and
Cleaning
Solenoid in turn.
Turn vertical
adjustment screw
to adjust the
makeup stream
into the Gutter at
the proper
p
osition.
Allow makeup
stream to jet
continuously.
(Note: nozzle plate
and charge
electrode may
re
q
uire cleanin
g)
Switch off the
power supply.
Select “Exit” to
finish this
procedure.
Return to
Figure 6-10.
Close the Cleaning
Solenoid after 2
minutes later, the
fluid flows out
from ink tank gap
must be clean
enough.
Start
Fix the printhead
down to the ground,
and caught by a
container. (Makeup
will spray out in
Auto Flushing)
