The Sboly Single Serve Coffee Brewer is a compact and efficient appliance designed for brewing coffee using either K-Cup® capsules or ground coffee. Its primary function is to provide a quick and convenient way to prepare a single serving of coffee, making it suitable for individual use in households. The brewer is designed with user safety and ease of use in mind, featuring a simple one-touch control system and clear instructions for operation and maintenance.
The coffee brewer offers a straightforward process for both initial setup and daily operation. Before the first use, it is recommended to clean the system by running a 14 oz cycle of water through the brewer. This involves placing the water tank filter in the water tank, filling the tank to the MAX level, closing the lid, and placing the brew basket (without coffee grounds) in place. The top cover should be closed, and a large cup placed on the drip tray beneath the brew spout. After plugging the brewer into an electrical outlet (preferably its own circuit), the ground coffee brew button is pressed to initiate the water heating and dispensing process. The brewer will automatically shut off after a preset time, indicating it's ready for use.
When brewing coffee with a K-Cup® capsule, the brewer should be placed on a dry, level, and heat-resistant surface. For cleaning, the brewer should be turned off and unplugged from the wall outlet. The drip tray should be checked regularly for excess water or coffee, emptied, and wiped clean with a damp cloth. Care should be taken when removing and emptying the drip tray to prevent spills. Used coffee capsules should not be left in the capsule holder. The exterior surfaces of the brewer can be wiped down with a soft, moist cloth and dried thoroughly; harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning pads should not be used, and the brewer should never be immersed in water or any other liquid, nor placed under running water.
The water tank filter, drip tray, drip tray cover, K-Cup® capsule holder, and brew basket should be cleaned with warm, soapy water. Harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners are to be avoided. These parts should be dried thoroughly before reassembly. The drip tray, drip tray cover, K-Cup® capsule holder, and brew basket are dishwasher-safe and can be placed on the top shelf of a dishwasher using low-temperature cycles.
Descaling is recommended regularly, typically every three months, depending on usage and local water conditions. Specific descaling products for coffee makers are available, and their instructions should be followed. To descale, ensure the brewer is turned off. The water tank is filled with undiluted white vinegar or a descaling product according to its instructions. A large mug is placed on the drip tray. It's important to ensure no coffee capsule is in the capsule holder, and the top cover is closed. To start the clean cycle, both the capsule brew button and the ground coffee brew button are pressed simultaneously. They will illuminate, and the brewer will pump water in approximately 30-second cycles, pausing between them. After five cycles, the brewer will automatically shut off.
After allowing the brewer to sit, another brew cycle should be run without a coffee capsule, and the dispensed liquid should be emptied (with caution, as it may be hot). The water tank is then filled with 8 ounces of distilled or bottled water, and a full brew cycle is run. Three additional brew cycles using distilled or bottled water (without a coffee capsule) are recommended to thoroughly clean the brewer and remove any residual taste from the vinegar or descaler. Once these steps are completed, the brewer is ready for regular use.
For storage, all parts should be clean and dry. The appliance should be stored in its box or a clean, dry place, never while hot or wet. The cord should not be wrapped tightly around the appliance but rather inserted into the cord storage on the back of the coffee maker. The brewer should always be stored in an upright position, as a small amount of water may remain in the boiler.
