The SCARLETT SC-ET10D15 is a thermo pot designed for heating and dispensing water, suitable for domestic use. It combines the functions of a kettle and a thermos, allowing users to boil water and then maintain it at a desired temperature.
The primary function of the SC-ET10D15 is to boil water and keep it warm. It features a boiling light indicator to show when the water is boiling and a keep warm light indicator to signify that the appliance is maintaining temperature. Users can select from three different temperature settings (65°C, 85°C, or 98°C) for the keep warm function, making it versatile for various hot beverage preparations. The thermo pot also includes a re-boil function, allowing for quick re-heating of warm water to boiling temperature.
Water dispensing can be done in three ways:
The appliance is designed with safety features such as automatic shut-off when water boils and a lock indicator for the mechanical dispense function.
The thermo pot's construction includes a case, spout, lid, carrying handle, and a water level indicator. The control panel features buttons for water dispense, re-boil, temperature selection, and a lock/unlock button for mechanical dispensing.
Before First Use: All packing materials and stickers should be removed. The thermo pot should be filled with cool water up to the maximum level, boiled, and then emptied. This process should be repeated once more to ensure cleanliness.
Filling: Water should be filled through the orifice in the opened cover. It is crucial not to fill with less than 0.5 L of water to prevent dry operation, and not more than 4.0 L to avoid overflow.
Switching On: After filling, place the thermo pot on a stable surface and connect the plug to the power supply.
Keep Warm Function: Once water boils, the thermo pot automatically switches to the keep warm mode. The boiling light indicator turns off, and the keep warm light indicator turns on. The appliance should never be used empty or with less than 0.5 L of water.
Re-boil Function: If the water temperature has dropped below boiling point during the keep warm function, the re-boil button can be pressed to quickly bring the water back to boiling.
Temperature Selection: The thermo pot offers three temperature options for keeping water warm: 65°C, 85°C, and 98°C. Users can cycle through these options by pressing the temperature selection button. The corresponding light indicator will illuminate when a temperature is selected. The water will first boil, then cool down to the selected temperature, and then be maintained at that temperature.
Water Pouring Options: As described above, there are three methods for dispensing water: mechanical, automatic, and cup-actuated. The mechanical option is useful when the appliance is unplugged, but requires unlocking.
Refill: To prevent the thermo pot from operating dry, water should be added regularly, ensuring the level is never below the "MIN" mark.
Switching Off: To turn off the thermo pot, simply disconnect it from the mains power supply.
