9.7. Network
On the „Network“ page, it is possible to make all relevant settings in order to integrate the DCS Touch
Display into the building‘s existing network.
The following options are available in the „Network settings“ section:
● DHCP activated: Check this checkbox to automatically request the necessary IP settings from the
DHCP server. While this checkbox is checked, settings in the elds „IP address“, „Subnet mask“,
„Default gateway“, „Preferred DNS server“ and „Alternative DNS server are ignored.
● MAC address: The MAC address of the DCS Touch Display is shown here (cannot be changed).
● IP address: Enter the IP address of the DCS Touch Display (is only needed when the
„DHCP activated“ checkbox is unchecked).
● Subnet mask: Enter the network mask which belongs to the IP address
(is only needed when the „DHCP activated“ checkbox is unchecked).
● Default gateway: Enter the IP address of the router or default gateway
(is only needed when the „DHCP activated“ checkbox is unchecked).
● Preferred DNS server: Enter the IP address of the primary DNS server
(is only needed when the „DHCP activated“ checkbox is unchecked).
● Alternative DNS server: If necessary, enter a second IP address for the secondary DNS server (is
only needed when the „DHCP activated“ checkbox has been unchecked and an IP address has
been entered in the eld „Preferred DNS server“).
● STUN server activated: Check this checkbox to activate the STUN function
(Session Traversal Utilities for NAT).
● STUN server IP address/host name: Enter the IP address or the host name of the STUN server.
● STUN server port: Enter the port number for the address entered in the
„STUN server IP address/host name“ eld.

Changes to the IP address
In the event of a change to the IP address of the DCS Touch Display, the web interface must be called
up again with the new IP address. Therefore, if necessary make a note of the new address before
saving to enable you to call up the web interface again.
What is STUN?
„Session Traversal Utilities for NAT“ is a network protocol, which detects rewalls and penetrates
NAT routers. With the aid of this protocol, SIP devices, amongst others, can receive data from
the internet within a building‘s network without any complications.
