First, ensure the clips are making a solid connection to both the battery and the frame; clean the connection points and rock the clips back and forth. Also, verify the booster battery is adequately charged by pressing the button on the front. If problems persist, the vehicle's battery may be defective and should be checked.

  If your Schumacher Extender isn't powering your 12V device, first ensure that the 12V device is turned on. Also, check the battery charge status of the booster by pressing the button on the front. If the device draws more than 15A or has a short circuit, disconnect it and allow the internal breaker to reset for a couple of minutes before trying again. If the issue persists, the 12V device may need replacement.
